Fun, but rather bleak when compared to those two majestic "Exotic Beatles"
cd's (Exotica Records, 1993 + 1994), which also featured the Beatle Barkers
and the Templeton Twins but with better covers and surrounded by silliness
that was so much more charming. Most of the versions here just aren't
ludicrous enough, and being second rate within second rate is wretched -
especially when there's so many (i.e. umpteen zillion) Beatles covers
around. The fun wears off quick, both from the music and the corny sleeve
notes. Moreover, with the label not stating any address or anything else
except its name, this cd-priced lp is clearly a loathsome
no-licensing-paid-for pirate edition, making a quick buck on behalf of the
lack of talent of others without even paying them a drink or any other fee's
worth. Not that most of the 'artists' present should've been rewarded for
ripping the Beatles off, but still, it's they who make us smile, not the
Rapists...
